Lindsay Mains

Master Teacher and choreographer, Lindsay Pierson Mains, is a resident of Nashville, TN. She has been a student of dance for the last 25 years. She started her training with Ballet Arts of Jackson.  At the age of 18, Lindsay moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue an education in dance education and started her performing career with The Young Americans. She joined the Young Americans performing company and began performing and teaching dance all over the United States and in countries all over the world such as Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Holland, Japan, Korea, and China.  She went on to become a Staging Director for International Tours with the Young Americans’ Performing Company. Lindsay then moved to Seattle where she began pursuing a career in ballet education. She became a Ballet Director and choreographer for competitive teams in the area where she won various awards. Lindsay moved to Nashville, TN where she began consulting and rehearsal directing with local companies. In 2020 Lindsay joined the staff at The School of Nashville Ballet where she taught in the Academy and Community Youth departments.  Currently Lindsay is a founding member of The Dance Process team where she continues to work as a master teacher and creator, a competition adjudicator, and she is the Ballet Director at Hermitage Dance Academy. 

Madison Ryan

Madison Ryan, a Louisiana native, began her dance training at A Touch of Class  Performing Arts under the direction of Lori Rayborn. She refined her technique through summer intensives with the Hammond Ballet Company, Alonzo King’s  LINES Ballet, and Sarasota Ballet. 

Throughout her professional career, Madison has performed principal roles in iconic ballets, including Serenade and Western Symphony by George Balanchine, as well as Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, Cinderella, and Giselle. Currently a principal dancer with Alabama Ballet, she has had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers and perform at international ballet festivals. 

In addition to her performing career, Madison is a dedicated educator, sharing her expertise with students at the Alabama Ballet School and teaching at institutions across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Andres Castillo

Andrés Castillo, born in Cali, Colombia, began dancing when he was just 9  years old at INCOLBALLET. He worked hard for 8 years and, at 17, started  performing with the professional company internationally. 

He danced all over the world with the Colombian Ballet Company, impressing  audiences in countries like Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, and many  others. In 2013, he decided to try his luck in the USA to grow as an artist. 

Since then, he’s had a successful career, performing with companies like Ballet  San Antonio from 2015 to 2018 and, most recently, with the Alabama Ballet from  2018 to 2025. He has played important roles like Basilio in Don Quixote, the  Cavalier in Balanchine’s Nutcracker®, Albrecht in Giselle and Romeo in Romeo  and Juliet, earning lots of praise. 

Andres’s 18-year journey as a professional dancer was filled with collaborations  with talented choreographers and mentors like Annabel Lopez Ochoa, Amanda  Mckerrow, John Gardner, Darla Hoover, Norbe Risco, Amy Fote, Juan Carlos  Peñuela and more. He even received recognition from the American Guild of  Musical Artists for his exceptional talent. His story is an inspiration in the world  of dance, and he continues to make his mark.

Sabir Yapparov

Sabir Yapparov received his academic and ballet training at the renowned Perm State Ballet Academy, Russia.  After graduating from the Academy, he danced as a soloist and principal with leading Ballet Companies in the Soviet Union. His repertoire included leading roles in the classical, neoclassical and contemporary ballets; Albrecht in Giselle, Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Prince Star in Masquerade, Prince Desire in Sleeping Beauty and Ivan in Hunchback Horse. 

 

Mr. Yapparov’s athleticism, elevation, stage personality and strong artistry gained him significant recognition.  He won numerous prestigious awards for his highly creative works and artistic performances, including the rank of Honored Artist of the Ukraine.

 

For eleven years he was a ballet master for the Sarasota Ballet of Florida. He worked as the Assistant to the Artistic Director at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. 2012-2016 Mr. Yapparov was the Cincinnati Ballet Academy Principal and a member of the Faculty at the University of Cincinnati. 

 

Today he is directing the Pre-Professional Division at Portland Ballet of Maine, helping aspiring dancers prepare for the next steps



David Odenwelder

David Odenwelder, a native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, began his early dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz at The Dance Works and New England Civic Ballet. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the University of Cincinnati.

David is currently a Company Dancer with Alabama Ballet and has previously performed with Cincinnati Ballet and Neos Dance Theatre. His repertoire includes principal and soloist roles in classical and contemporary works such as The Nutcracker (Cavalier), Giselle (Hilarion), and Rodeo (Champion Roper), as well as works by Agnes De Mille, Twyla Tharp, Christopher Bruce, George Balanchine, and Jiří Kylián.

A dedicated educator, David teaches at the Alabama Ballet School and The Dance Foundation, and joined the faculty of Samford University’s Department of Theatre and Dance in 2019. He has taught a wide range of dance disciplines and regularly leads master classes nationwide, bringing professional performance experience into the studio and inspiring the next generation of dancers.
